In an article by the Huffington Post, Asa Cusack surveyed the candidates running for Venezuela’s April 14 elections. The candidates include Nicolás Maduro, the current vice-president, Diosdado Cabello, Henrique Capriles Radonski, Henri Falcón and Francisco Arias Cárdenas.
Capriles announced he is running for president in the Venezuelan elections. His entrance in the race puts him up against frontrunner and acting president Nicolás Maduro. Capriles’ political ideas oppose those of Chavez, and if elected would take Venezuela in a new direction, according to an article by Reuters.
